I spent a very happy hour or so on Wednesday evening looking through the wonderful pictures of the Year 6 French Trip and the Year 5 Outward Bound Venture at Aberdovey. These, with their accompanying blogs, give amazing accounts of the two expeditions held so far this term, and are well worth a look. Thank you, everyone who contributed to the BBC Children in Need Appeal in November last year. The Blue Coat School raised the excellent sum of £1161.77 for this very worthy cause.
French Trip 2013

Suitcases were loaded on while children scrambled for the premium seats, and the excitement was such that the early morning crowd of anxious mums and dads was almost totally ignored as we left, bang on time, to foreign parts. You will see from the French Trip Report kindly supplied by Mr Morris [below] that the children of Year 6 had a fabulous time at the Château du Broutel, and I am sure that their parents would wish to join me in thanking the staff team for giving them such a wonderful experience. Also to be thanked are Mrs Nordan and the gymnastics coaches for running last weekend’s highly successful Midlands Independent
New Prep Uniform
We are all looking forward to the new developments in school uniform for the autumn. If any parent needs to replace their son's jumper or daughter's cardigan this term, we are happy for the new ones to be bought and worn immediately, as this does not fundamentally change their overall appearance. However, boys should please continue to wear white shirts and, of course, their House ties this term. The
