Geography in Pre-Prep is greatly enriched at this time of year by the variety of places our children are fortunate enough to visit on their summer holidays.

This term the children have the opportunity to enhance their speaking and listening skills by sharing their holiday experiences with their class. They do this with the help of various photographs, postcards and souvenirs. The children are then able to plot their destinations on a world map and to graphically record their different methods of transport, whether it be to The Bull Ring or Dubai! Many comparisons are then made arising from the children’s experiences. For example, whilst talking about beaches, the children discover that some have been snorkelling in beautiful clear waters whereas others have been playing in rock pools in wellies!

So thank you, from the geography department for taking your children to such an array of interesting places that really do enhance our classroom learning every year.
