As the festive season approaches I thought I would give you a few dates for your diary. This Sunday, 27 November, the Chapel Choir are singing an Advent Processional service with the cathedral choir in St Philip’s Cathedral, Colmore Row. The service starts at 4.00pm and it would be great to see some familiar faces in the congregation.
On Thursday 1 December the Chapel Choir are singing Christmas carols in the main atrium at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital between 12.00-12.30. Do come along for a sing and to say hello if you are around.
Our very own Christmas concert is on Thursday 8 December at 6pm in the School Hall. All are welcome, young and old, so please come along and hear our ensembles and orchestra playing some of their favourite Christmas music for you. The concert lasts for an hour or so and is a fun evening of music-making.
Mr Trethewey, Oliver’s father in RM, is the general manager of Birmingham’s fantastic ‘Ex Cathedra’ choir. Many of you will have been to the wonderful Carols by Candlelight concerts in years gone by. ‘Ex Cathedra’ also host a family concert, and this year it is on Wednesday 21 December at 4pm. The concert lasts an hour and will be full of child-friendly music and readings. Tickets are available from www.excathedra.co.uk.
