This has been a very busy term for our musicians in Prep and Pre-Prep. The Christmas concerts, nativities, Advent and carol services are still fresh in our minds as we begin the very welcome vacation. I would like to congratulate all the children who have taken part in the many performances; you have worked very hard to make all of these wonderful events such a pleasure for your audience.
Emma Burns, Gracie Roberts, Isabelle Clarkson and Emma Daniel have been performing in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s annual production of Tchaikovsky’s ‘The Nutcracker’. I am sure many parents have taken their children to see this magical Christmas tradition; it is a wonderful spectacular.
Just as I write this message, I have learned that Katie, Tristan and Sophie, all Music Scholars, have successfully auditioned for the National Children’s Orchestra. Sophie has also secured a place in the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain. Well done all of you; a fine achievement indeed.
I am greatly encouraged and very proud of the amazing contribution Blue Coat pupils make to the musical life not only of our School, but to local and national organisations, and professional productions too.
Well done, one and all!
