Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum… The Year 4 children thankfully needed no such thing to get into the Christmas spirit.
On December 1st, we weighed anchor and set sail towards The Rep to see their production of Treasure Island. This swashbuckling tale of pirates and the high seas featured a female Jim Hawkins and Dr LIvesey, as well as all the adventure, bravery, loyalty, parrots (and chickens!) traditionally associated with Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novel. As Jim quite rightly says, “Girls can have adventures too” and all the Year 4s – boys and girls – certainly enjoyed a ship-shape morning at the theatre.
