3E spent a busy morning at The Barber Institute of Fine Arts on Tuesday, learning all about portraits and taking part in a Printing Workshop.
Here are a few of their comments about the trip ..
“It was interesting because we learnt all about the Renaissance” – Will
“Ava and Archie acted out the story about Andre Derain” – Temi
“We were were printing using inks, foam print and rollers and because it is near the University it could help with your studies” – Poppy
“It was teaching us about who did the paintings and what they were for” – Raihan
We shall be building on this valuable resource in our lessons and topic on Portraits. Everyone agreed that the printing workshop was great fun. It is fantastic to have this amazing venue on our doorstep and there are regular family workshops and holiday courses. Do check the website for more information http://barber.org.uk/
