Over the past two days it has been my distinct pleasure to hear children perform in the heats of our first Music Festival. Some 109 pupils have taken part, and the standard of musicianship has been of the highest order.
There are still a few children to hear on Monday, but in the meantime the list of finalists as it stands at the moment is available for you to see by clicking this link

The semi-finals will take place during the day of Thursday 16 March, with the Gala Concert to follow later that evening at 6.00pm.
All are welcome to attend, and our adjudicator, Mrs Karen Cousins will be awarding the inaugural shield for the BCS Young Musician of the Year 2017.
If the standard of playing today is anything to go by, it will be a superb evening, showcasing the best Blue Coat has to offer. I do encourage you to come along and support all the children; they have worked so hard to prepare for the Festival.
