This week, the Big Sleuth bear has visited Pre-Prep. The new sun bear sculpture is sitting proudly in St Martin’s House, outside Mrs Hall’s classroom.
The children have been visiting the bear in classes as well as passing it every day. He is dressed strangely in a shawl and a hat, which mysteriously changes every day! The challenge set for them is to come up with a name for the sun bear and draw designs to decorate the bear, that will make ‘our bear’ look amazing and memorable for the Blue Coat School and the people of Birmingham.
The sun bear, also known as the honey bear has certainly created a buzz and a lot of excitement amongst the staff and children. Watch this space for the children’s creative and brilliant ideas throughout Pre-Prep. They are sure to be bear-tastic!!
