At 3pm the School Hall was full of colour as Prep gathered for the House Shout competition. With mounting excitement and competitive spirit the House heads gathered at the front of the stage to draw their position for the sing-off.
First up it was St George’s, complete with green bandanas cunningly made from green socks! They rocked the stage with an original composition by Mr Isherwood. Making the most of their musical talent with Shai on drums and Wilf on guitar, a passionate performance kicked off the proceedings.
Next it was St Margaret’s turn: the girls looked smart with their white hats and slick choreography and cleverly adapted ‘In the Navy’ to ‘In St. Margaret’s!’
Third up and a change of pace with the serene harmonies of St Monica’s House, all dressed immaculately in their uniform.
Last, but not least, St Philip’s were a sea of colour (mainly red) which tied in with their ‘We all Live in a Red Submarine’ as opposed to a yellow one! Great live music again to accompany their song.
Mr Wurr and Mr Nicklin, our adjudicators, announced our winners…
St George’s for best original composition
St Margaret’s for best choreography
St Philip’s for best artistic interpretation
St Monica’s for best choral performance
Well done everyone!
