Summer might seem a long way off in this murky weather, but the Summer Fête is just a month away. This is our biggest annual event and brings the whole Blue Coat community together for an afternoon of fun and frolics. 2017 will be no different – we invite you to join Alice in her Adventures in Wonderland where you can splat rabbits down the rabbit hole, have a go at croquet with hedgehogs and flamingoes, be pampered in the Queen of Hearts’ parlour, hook a duck from the Pool of Tears, soak the teachers and much much more!
As we draw near to the big adventure, here is how you and your children can play your part:
From Monday 22 May
Donate good quality children’s books and toys – deposit boxes will be available in Main Reception, Mrs Arch’s office and the Buttons entrance
Friday 9 June – Non-uniform day
Children wear their own clothes and in return, donate a bottle for the tombola (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic)
Pre-Prep and Buttons children bring in their filled teacups
Join the team assembling all the themed bunting and decorations – 8.30am in the Board Room
Friday 16 June
Bring in cake donations for the Mad Hatter’s tea party
And finally, please sign up to help on the day! Please click here to sign up.
Your help in whatever way will be much appreciated! Remember that these events are great fun, and raise thousands of pounds each year for all the extras around our wonderful school.
