The Blue Coat School is proud to announce that it will be supporting the national campaign ‘Drowning Prevention Week’ in association with Birmingham City Council and the Royal Life Saving Society UK
All the children here at the Blue Coat School will be taking part in some interactive water safety presentations and practical water safety skills. Drowning Prevention Week, run by The Royal Life Saving Society UK aims to ensure everyone knows how to have fun and be safe near water.

As part of this process, we will be running some water safety workshops for the parents and guardians of all the children of The Blue Coat School. These workshops will give parents and guardians a greater understanding of the content being delivered to the children during the campaign ‘Drowning Prevention Week’. Additionally, there will be opportunity to learn/practice some basic CPR techniques that in an emergency could save a life.

The Blue Coat School Sports Centre Manager – Mark Carroll, who is a Trainer and Assessor for the Royal Life Saving Society, will deliver the sessions in the Board Room in the Admin Building. To book one of these sessions you can either email with your preferred date/time or book a date/time at the main school Reception.
