Our new caterers Holroyd Howe are going down a storm with their exciting new offerings at morning break and lunchtime. We hope you have seen pictures of some of the delicious fare on our twitter stream.
As part of their commitment to sourcing the best of British produce, Holroyd Howe have been running Supplier Days. Earlier in the term we welcomed Theos who made their delicious flavoured chicken and salad wraps for the children to try. Mr Neeson even had a go at helping Stavros and Christopher! The wraps were one of the contenders up for vote in the Blue Coat Mini Election on Thursday.
This week Tom and Garry from Delifresh, our sole vegetable supplier joined us to see the children enjoying beautiful fresh vegetables and fruit. Delifresh deliver at 6:30am Monday to Friday so we have the freshest produce on site. Transition children earned Food Explorer stickers by tasting asparagus and Pre-Prep and Prep tried star fruit, dragon fruit, alphonso mangoes, strawberries, popcorn shoots and much more!
Tom and Garry were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the children during the lunch period and were delighted with how much fruit and vegetables they actually consumed. They children asked lots of questions about where the different fruits and vegetables came from.
