On Tuesday morning, the three Reception classes were very excited to take part in their end of year assembly in front of parents and friends in Chapel. The children began by ensuring the audience were paying attention, by singing a “Wake Up” song. Subsequently, each child had an individual role to play in the service.
The journey started with the discovery of a time-travelling robot, left over from our recent STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) theme week. This prompted some very questionable robot jokes and a robot poem delivered by RS. The robot then took us back to discover the amazing learning in maths that has been happening in RB, complete with songs and rhymes. The robot then gave us a glimpse of the future, with RM telling us about their hopes and dreams for when they grow up, and demonstrating what talents they possess.
The service finished with a rousing song about a friendly robot.
Many thanks to all the Reception Staff and Mrs Evans for all their hard work in putting the assembly together.
