On a glorious Summer day, the U10 cricket team won the Warwickshire Kwik Cricket Festival at the Edgbaston Foundation Ground. The team managed to win all its games but not without one or two squeaky moments. The first 3 games were comfortable victories thanks to the destructive hitting of Yuvraj Kanda and Kairav Singh and then the accurate bowling from all members of the team.

The final 3 games were far from easy, with a poor batting performance against St Benedict’s, leaving us with a small total to defend of 241. Thankfully some great bowling and fielding saw us home.

In the last game we posted a respectable 269, however Yarnfield Primary School chased it down well, needing 2 to win off the last ball. Thankfully they failed to score any runs and we won by 1 run!

The whole team performed admirably with our bowling as a team proving the difference.
