The children in Reception have settled in well into their new classes. After a long and fun-filled summer they were excited to return and see their friends and talk about their summer adventures.
The first three days have been spent getting to know their new teachers and assistants and acclimatising to new classrooms, expectations and routines. They have enjoyed playing with different toys and have already been working on phonics and maths activities, as well as starting the half-term’s topic, “Over the Rainbow” where they will be doing lots of work connected to colours. The children have also now moved into the big dining room for their lunches which they have enjoyed.
We are all looking forward to an exciting year in Reception.
