Instrumental music lessons, choirs and ensembles start this coming Monday. Instrumental lesson times for Prep pupils are sent home in the form of a sticker put into your child’s Planner. If your child hasn’t received a sticker yet and you are expecting a music lesson to commence, please contact Miss Akehurst, the Music Department Administrator.

Calling all singers! Over the past five years we have been thrilled to have had Blue Coat pupils join The National Children’s Choir of Great Britain. It is perhaps the finest choir for young singers in the country, and the next round of auditions takes place in November. Further details and how to apply are available from myself, or the NCCGB website

And for the grown-ups, our School Choral Society is always on the lookout for new members. The choir comprises current and former Blue Coat parents and rehearses on Thursday evenings between 7.30 and 9.00 in the School Hall. If you enjoy singing, or want to start singing (it’s a great stress-buster!) why not come along? There is no scary audition and we have fun singing a wide range of music. It’s a good way to meet new people and be part of the Blue Coat ‘Family’.
