3S have started the visits to The Barber Institute and can safely say that all of Year 3 are in for a treat! We discovered how the Barber Institute was set up and learnt about what type of artwork is displayed there. There was action, drama, discussion and plenty of fun! Some children dressed up as famous artists and we were transported back in time to when the paintings in front of us would have been completed; the wigs and berets were a particular highlight for some! All of the children then completed a printing workshop based on portraits.

The behaviour, manners and enthusiasm of the children were superb. Remember to include more blue and red in your hair, 3S; it’s artistic and anything goes!
