U10A Hockey v Hallfield (H)
Monday 30 October
BCS 4 – 2 Hallfield
Most Valued Player: Maya Hart
Well, what a start to the term! Our U10 girls dominated from the start of the match and were fabulous going forwards, with excellent drives from Bea and Maya. Lexie was utilising what she had learnt in training and finding great positions upfront and we were unlucky on several occasions that the ball driven in from Storm was intercepted. Tara made a good start to her A team play and was confident going forwards. Kate made two good saves in goal as we were put under pressure in the second half. Joanne was consistent in her role linking the defence to attack this was a game we could have scored more in but I was so pleased to see what we have been practising is being taken into the matches and we are passing and playing as a team.

Result: BCS 1 – 0 Hallfield
Most Valued Player: Poppy Couzens, reading the game well and distributing from defence with purpose.
A very tight match with lots of possession for Blue Coat and some good saves from Hallfield’s goalkeeper. We played a lot of the match through the centre, which meant Blue Coat couldn’t produce real clear opportunities. Sareena Sharma’s goal came from a good penalty corner and good reaction in close.
Scorer: Sareena Sharma

BCS 1 – 0 Hallfield
Most Valued Player: Sophie Reason fantastic compsoure on the ball
I really enjoyed this match. Again Blue Coat had the chunk of possession and we are working so hard to show composure and dribble the ball into space. Shalu Arun and Anne-Laure Kavanagh worked hard to create opportunities, but again the game was congested. Amulya Maganty’s goal came from a rebound with the goalkeeper and she slotted in the corner from close range.
Scorer: Amulya Maganty
