On Wednesday 17th of January, a group of 12 Year 6 girls went to Hillcrest Lingua Centre for the afternoon. There were many fun activities to participate in such as bingo, dressing up and shopping. It was a great experience for developing our French skills and knowledge. We had the experience to go through passport control and changed our money into Euros. The first workshop was learning French. We learnt fun actions to go along with French words and learnt keywords for shopping. We then came into the ‘shopping village’ and started a competition – who could collect the most stamps? Stamps were awarded to girls who could ask for the most items correctly in French. Indira came out on top, with a whopping 55! Sareena and Anne-Laure were close behind with 52 and 47. It was a great day out and we all developed our French skills massively.

Anne-Laure, 6P
