Thursday saw the first ever House Charity Day in Prep, with St Monica’s spearheading the fund-raising for their chosen charity: Action For Children. The day started with all the St Monica’s girls (dressed in our House yellow) leading an assembly about encouragement. Years 3 and 4 each performed a poem, with huge confidence, and years 5 and 6 narrated and performed a play.

During break and lunchtime, all the girls helped run a Charity Fair in the Hall, with a huge variety of games to play (pin-the-horn-on-the-unicorn, hoopla, name the reindeer, lucky lollipop sticks and target plates, to name but a few!); many sweets were bought and eaten; emoji keyrings, gliders and gifts acquired; and netball goals scored against the clock! Great fun was had by all!

After school, the House parents and some of the girls ran a bustling Cake Sale, which was certainly appreciated! Thanks to all the House bakers, delicious treats were very much enjoyed. At the end of the day, we are proud to say, a total of £980 was raised and this will support the excellent work of Action For Children in supporting less fortunate children in the UK.

Many thanks to all those who supported our events!
