Northfield Festival of Music and Speech
Well done to all the children who took part in the Northfield Festival of Music and Speech last weekend. Congratulations especially to those children who beat out the stiff competition to win their classes.
Chloe Liew won the Any Instrument 12 Years and Under Class on her Flute.
Caitlin & Chloe Liew won the Open Duet Class with their Flute and Harp duet (which can be heard again at our upcoming Prelude Concert here at school on Thursday 24 May.)
Aidan Zhang won the 9 year olds Piano Class, Tristan Wong won the 11 year olds Piano Class, Jai Lewis won the 8 year olds Strings Class and Rebecca Broome won the 11 year olds Strings Class.
Congratulations also go to those children who were part of the Bournville Juniors, who won the Open Instrumental Ensemble class – Tristan, Sophie, Rebecca, Indira and Gloriosa.
Pre-Prep and Year 3 Recital
Congratulations to all the Pre-Prep and Year 3 musicians who wowed the audiences this week with fantastic recitals. We were treated to guitars, a saxophone, a clarinet, a trumpet, violins and pianos. The children all played wonderfully. Thank you to all the Visiting Music Teachers and parents for all the hard work you have put in this year to support the children.
