U9A Cricket vs West House
Date: Tuesday 22nd May
Result: Blue Coat 247 West House 259
Report: In a closely fought contest West House emerged victorious thanks to some excellent straight bowling and good running between the wickets. Both teams showed they understood the basics well in the field and running well between the wickets, however it was the number of wickets lost with players playing across the line that really did the damage. The wickets lost column for Blue Coat was 7 whilst only 3 for West House and this was the difference. Many bowled well including Will, James Padley and Aarav however only few showed the patience to play with a straight bat with only James Protherough understanding the need to defend as well as attack. Hopefully the lessons will be learnt in time for the next game against RGS The Grange.

U11C Cricket vs West House
Date: Wednesday 23rd May
Result: Blue Coat 234 West House 323
Report: In a one sided game the inability to bowl straight proved to be the C teams undoing. However most people improved in their second over. There was also some suicidal running between the wickets which again led to far too many wickets being lost. Peter Tomlinson batted very well and showed some concentration in the field to watch the ball.
