Year 3 had a fantastic time on Thursday for their Activity Day and Overnight Residential. 3W’s journalist for the day, David Foster, gives his summary of a wonderful day.

We made a flag as the first whole class activity. This showed our clan name!  Next we got into our class “clans” and the “Walker Wildlife eWoks” (my group) made tent pegs as our first activity, using our skills with whittling wood. After break we played a game on the Astro turf as a whole year group, it was great fun! All the classes took turns to try their hand at whittling, making bunting, going on a night walk and working together to stack “The Tower of Hanoi” and taking the walk of doom!!

We had great fun in our watery whole year group game, 3M were the winners and collected all 4 watercolors first!! After our BBQ, which was delicious, we settled down in front of the open fire for an evening’s entertainment of Mr Isherwood’s bedtime story of Stick Man, songs and an outdoor cinema!  It was a fantastic!!!.  A sleepover in the houses and a hearty breakfast rounded off what has been an amazing experience for Year 3!
Thank you to Mr Harrison, Mr Isherwood, Mr Matthews, Miss Akehurst, Miss Crews and all of the Year 3 staff for looking after us.

David Foster, 3W
