On Thursday 13th September Caitlin, Lydia, Henry, Boyi and Priyam from years 4 and 5 went to Fairfield Preparatory School in Loughborough to take part in the Junior Language Challenge semi-finals. Having qualified in the first round of Spanish in the spring, the children had been learning Khmer (the official language of Cambodia) using the JLC app, over the summer. On the day the children were playing the Khmer games against the clock with a live leaderboard displaying their scores. All of the children from Blue Coat went through to the second round of the semi-final, displaying impressive composure under pressure, and we are delighted to congratulate Caitlin who is through to the final, which will take place in the London Olympia in November. Congratulations everyone!
