On Thursday, Class 2S presented their thoughts about one of our school values – To Cheerfully Try Hard. They explained to the rest of KS1 assembly, what this value means and how it is important to keep using our very best efforts with a smile on our faces. They introduced two characters, Mr Cheerfully try hard and Mr Miserable – Want to give up. They showed us, that their thoughts and words can produce two different attitudes. The children described some examples of how they had overcome some challenging tasks with the right attitude. To finish the assembly, the Aesop fable of the Crow was acted out, which had the moral: ‘If at first, you don’t succeed, try, try and try again.’ Thank you Class 2S for a very thought-provoking assembly, that made us feel more determined to ‘Cheerfully Try Hard’ in all we do.
