In EYFS Creative Art and Design is a subject that we thoroughly enjoy. As Early Years teachers we try to plan so that we strike a balance between developing the children’s own creativity and the teaching of new skills. This half term we have been learning about new life and have produced some wonderful artwork that has encompassed a variety of skills including chalking, cutting, gluing, drawing, painting, tearing, printing, scraping, collaging and moulding. We also ask the children to start evaluating their own designs and creations and to identify where changes could be made. They are admirably very good at this. I hope you enjoy looking at the photographs of just a few examples of the wonderful creations that take place within the EYFS.
