On Saturday 8th June a team of 5 Blue Coat swimmers made up of Storm, Freddie, Milo, Filippos and Sam headed down to London to compete in the National IAPS Swimming Finals being held at the London Aquatic Centre.

Storm competed in the U11 Girls 50m Freestyle and after swimming well in the heats qualified for the overall final, producing a new personal best and finishing 8th overall.

The quartet of boys all swam well, finishing 5th in the U10 Medley relay and 15th in the U10 Freestyle relay. Filippos again swam well in the U10 Boys 25m Backstroke, producing a personal best and 20th place overall.

Freddie competed in the U10 Boys 25m Breaststroke and produced a strong swim which allowed him to qualify for the overall final. Spurred on by the professional swimmers who have swam at the venue, including Adam Peaty, Freddie produced a phenomenal swim which saw him finish 5th overall, set a new personal best; and a new school record of 18.98.
