This year the weather turned against us and resulted in some last-minute planning changes to enable the Fayre to continue whilst keeping everyone out of the rain! We are indebted to the support of the Estates and Sports Centre teams who helped us execute the last-minute plans.

Our revised programme utilised the Astro Turf for a novel game of Football Darts, the timeless Dodgem Cars and a challenge of hitting a golf ball into a giant inflatable Dinosaur! Meanwhile those sheltering from the rain inside where entertained by Juggling and Punch and Judy shows, the Rodeo Bull and Minions Bouncy Castle as well as traditional games such as Tin Can Alley and Hook a Duck. Consumers of the future were able to spend their (own?) hard earned pocket money on toys, sweets, and gifts. Food and refreshments proved to be extremely popular, with hot drinks selling  fast alongside hot samosas and Afternoon Tea in the Pavilion, whilst the Fish and Chip van was in high demand alongside the school BBQ and Platinum Pancakes.

Thanks to the generosity of the various event sponsors, this year’s Charity Raffle prizes did not disappoint. Needless to say that all winners were delighted and together we have supported the work of a local charity – Open Door Counselling. Of course, none of this would have been possible without your support on the day, a big hearty thanks to everyone who came along to the Fayre.
