Roald Dahl Day 2019 has been celebrated in Pre-Prep and Prep – this year’s theme was bravery – and, leading the celebrations, is the ever-ingenious Matilda. Y2 pupils have enjoyed their Roald Dahl themed Book Club, Y4 pupils have been reading Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda’ and writing book reviews about it. Today, they completed ‘Dahl Doodles’ jotting exciting noun phrases and descriptions of various protagonists. Here are a selection of photographs taken in class. Y3 have been writing instructions for ‘Miracle Recipes’ inspired by Roald Dahl’s ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’. All Prep staff have had a fantastic day and now are looking forward to celebrating World Book Day later in the academic year.
