It has been a busy week in the Chapel as we have held our Harvest celebrations across the school.  The Nursery children celebrated with Chaplain in Buttons. Then on Tuesday the three Transition classes were very excited to visit Chapel for the first time to take part in their Harvest service. The children had been working hard with Mrs Evans and Mrs Happ to learn some Harvest songs which were sung with enthusiasm. Chaplain reminded us all to be thankful for our food and talked about where it comes from. The children were amazed to learn that all the items could be traced back to seeds. The service ended with a lively rendition of the “Dingle Dangle Scarecrow” which was enjoyed by all. Thank you to the Buttons and Pre-Prep families for your donations of food for Quinton and Oldbury Food Bank.

On Wednesday afternoon it was Pre-Prep’s turn to visit Chapel and Year 2 children led us in a wonderful Harvest Celebration. Today our Prep Harvest saw 425 shoeboxes come in for Operation Christmas Child and amazingly we have raised nearly £800 for Baby Bank, plus a van load of Baby items taken to the charity this afternoon. Tim Hughes and his band, along wtih the Year 4 Choir and Senior Choir led us in a joyful celebration, more of which can be seen on the Chapel Tube video. A lovely way to end our week of Harvest celebrations!
