A few children from Pre-Prep and Prep visited Birmingham Children’s Hospital today to see what some of the money they had raised had been used for.  The new play area was fantastic and the children were delighted that they had supported this project. They thought that patients and their families would have lots of fun there – just as they did on their tour.  The visual waterfall was amazing and we even glimpsed some dinosaurs through the windows. We visited some of the different parts of the hospital including the Chapel and the entrance to the Hospital School.  We were amazed to learn that 90,000 children visit the hospital each year and that 3,000 staff work there!  Annabel’s mum even spared a few minutes from her working day at the hospital to pop and see us whilst the children were in the play area!  A huge thank you to all those who have donated to our fundraising activities in the past for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.  We are looking forward to planning how to raise some more money for another project to make time in hospital fun!

Thank you to Mrs Andrews, Miss Durrant and Mr Newman for taking us on this visit.
