St Margaret’s were delighted to welcome back Grace Mincher from Edward’s Trust to their Friday House Assembly last week. St Margaret’s chose Edward’s Trust as their charity last year to support and the girls worked tirelessly in their efforts, raising the amazing amount of £5,977.27. All girls took part in the “Fiver Challenge” and came up with some very original ideas to raise money. From cleaning cars, busking, cake making to organising a sponsored Triathlon. Edward’s Trust has to raise over £600,000 each year to keep open and Grace was overwhelmed by the money the girls had raised, telling them that their donation would go towards the funding of over 120 hours of counselling and therapy sessions for families and children affected by bereavement. She also spoke about the importance of sharing with others the work which Edward’s Trust is involved in over the 30 years it has been established. Holly Willson our House Captain presented Grace with the cheque and invited the girls to ask Grace questions about Edward’s Trust. Well done girls and thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Day. Keep flying the kite for Edward’s Trust.
