We were delighted to welcome the school matron Wendy Moloney to our classes to talk to us about the importance of hand hygiene. She helped lead an investigation involving glo-gel, seeing how far germs really travel. The children predicted what they thought the outcome would be, with many surprised at how easily germs can spread. We reiterated the importance of washing our hands at appropriate times to help minimise the spreading of germs of bacteria. The children enjoyed the activity, which included focusing on our science principles of being part of hands-on investigations with scientific lines of enquiry. Thank you, Mrs Moloney!
