On Tuesday, the Pre Prep Eco Club travelled to the RSPB, Sandwell Valley to learn a little more about biodiversity and in particular birds. They spent the morning identifying different birds in their natural habitat during a wetlands walk and from inside the bird hide. The children enjoyed learning how to use binoculars and discovering how to tell different species apart. They learnt lots of informative facts about the species and also how to encourage more birds back at school. The group even learnt how to make different bird calls during a fun, final game! Now the group are busy planning how to spread this wonderful knowledge to their classmates and are actively involved in setting up a Big Bird Watch here at school in February.
