Early Years have been looking forward to Chinese New Year this weekend. The children in Buttons have enjoyed a Chinese food tasting and lots of themed activities.
Transition had a special ‘Wow Day’ all about Chinese New Year. The three classes rotated around the three classrooms trying different activities. In Mrs. Hall’s classroom they sampled a range of Chinese food including noodles, lychees and prawn crackers. In Mrs. Glasgow’s room they decorated Lucky Money envelopes and in Mrs. Shaw’s class they made hanging lanterns. It was also a good opportunity for the children to work with different teachers and to play with different toys and the teacher’s really enjoyed getting to know the children better.
Wishing everybody Kung Hei Fat Choy!
