On Thursday 5th March we hosted a regional IAPS swimming qualifier for the second consecutive year. To be selected as a host school is an honour in itself, and I’d like to thank the PE Department, Sport Centre Staff, Estates, Catering and SLT for their involvement with making this gala a success! We welcomed Warwick, RGS and Oswestry to Blue Coat for their qualifying swims and we were gifted with some fantastic swims from all four schools. Congratulations to Vivek who broke a school record for the Junior 25m Breaststroke in a time of 23.00 seconds.
We eagerly await the results from the other schools in the competition to see whether we have qualified for the National Finals which will be held in the Olympic Pool in London on Saturday 6th June. Well done to the 17 Blue Coat swimmers who represented the school and did themselves proud!
