The girls have really developed this term and this was a tournament where there was all to play for!
Working on some advanced skills and structures made for some fantastic Netball to watch and our BCS girls certainly delivered. They kept a clean score sheet, successfully preventing all of their opponents from scoring any goals with some excellent defensive skills and won every game in the group stages.
The girls’ ability to push the ball to the moving player was superb. They showed a strong understanding of where their teammates were moving to and confidently anticipated where to place the ball, particularly when in the shooting circle. In the final we were up against Winterfold School, a team that we had faced at the previous tournament in the quarter finals. Last time they won convincingly. However, this time we were in good form and used speed, yet composure to convert the balls that the defensive unit intercepted. It was a real team effort and an amazing victory, a proud moment for us all! A very exciting squad which we will continue to develop throughout the next couple of years. Well done!
