This week in Reception the children have been exploring their five senses; touch, taste, sight, hearing and smell. They have had lots of fun!
For the sense of taste the children tasted different food and then used words to describe what it tasted like. The children had to decide whether they liked or disliked the food. For the sense of hearing, the children decorated and made shakers. We also talked about the different texture of objects and made feely hands.
We continued this topic into our computing lesson and had lots of fun taking part in a senses quiz. We used the chrome books to label the different senses with their correct terminology and used the headphones and speakers to listen and guess different sounds from around the home being played.
Well done, Reception! You have all been working really hard.
