To support their humanities topic of “The Stone Age,” Year 3 were set the challenge of creating a Stone Age Tool or implement for enrichment homework this week. Materials used did not need to be authentic, but just represent the materials that would have been available to Stone Age people. The children produced a range of impressive creations from flint axes, hunting spears, hammers, bows and arrows and catapults to name just a few. The creativity shown was fantastic and there were some wonderful, and often authentic designs. These Stone Age implements will also be used in humanities lessons as well as the upcoming Stone Age Day, helping to really bring the topic to life. The Year 3 team would like to thank all the children who have made a Stone Age implement as well as any adults that helped them at home.
