It has been a wonderful start to the academic year in Creative Arts. Year 3 have been learning about Stone-Age art. They mixed up their own pigments like Stone Age people and made a background. Next, they drew a figure and practised their painting skills. Here are some of their brilliant results.
Year 4 have just completed some wax resist and watercolour paintings based on the work of the Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo. They were trying to achieve a textured look to their work.
Year 5 have been studying Anglo Saxon art which is linked to their Humanities studies. Here 5AG have finished their manuscript paintings.
Year 6 have been studying portraits. These are their ink and water portraits in the style of Marlene Dumas. They have tried oil pastels and paint stippling too.
