Year 3 were transported back to the Stone Age for their enrichment day, taking part in a wide range of activities throughout the day. Miss Anning ran an activity where the children were communicating like a Stone Age person and without speaking the children had to complete a range of tasks. Jewellery making with Mrs Gridley was another challenge where after foraging for resources some wonderful creations were made. Clay lamps designed to burn animal fat was led by Mrs Walker and outside in the forest school area the children constructed hunting shelters with Mr Wood. To round off the day the children made oatcakes as we reached the end of the Stone Age and began to live like farmers. A fantastic time was had by all and the activities really brought the children’s learning to life.
