On Sunday 6 December over 25 Blue Coat families gathered around their screens to battle it out in The Friends’ Christmas Quiz. With questions such as reindeer name anagrams, match the teacher to their pet and various Christmas trivia it was a close battle between the Jordans and the Longworths for first place. Coming down to a tie break, the families had to guess the number of sweets in the jar shown on screen. The Jordan family were closest and were crowned the winners for Christmas 2020. They also won the prize for best festive background. Congratulations to the Longworth family who were runners up and CharlesChamps who were very close behind in third place. A wonderful night was had by all which set everyone up for a fantastic final week of term.
On Monday the Forest School had been transformed into a live nativity with a donkey, ducks, goats and sheep from Ark Farm and a very jolly Father Christmas installed in the Outdoor Classroom! The children took it in turns to visit in their Bubbles. They stroked the animals, read their prayers around the campfire and hung their baubles on the Christmas trees, finally visiting Father Christmas to receive a gift to take home.
Thank you to The Friends for arranging this amazing treat and also for sponsoring the pantomime “It looks like Rain, Dear” which was broadcast to to all the children on the last day.
