As part of their Humanities topic on India, Year 5 have been exploring the wonderful world of India. Throughout the half term, the children have looked at locating India on a range of maps, explored the varying lives of people living in India and have also travelled to some of India’s famous landmarks. The children discovered and created presentations on: The Mysore Palace, The Lotus Temple, The Amber Fort, The Golden Temple and even Humayun’s Tomb.

The children were then asked to produce a creative piece of work around India’s most famous landmark: The Taj Mahal.

We have had some wonderful creations. We’ve seen some delicious Taj Mahal cakes, some sturdily built Lego houses and even one or two painting masterpieces.

The children have worked incredibly hard on this and should be so proud of their creations.
