The Reception children have been very busy this week. In mathematics they have been recording using tally marks. At school we went for an object hunt in the Blue Coat grounds and the children at home went for a walk near where they lived. They had to represent how many times they saw each object as tally marks. The following day the maths was linked to the topic of Space. The children had to interpret the Space information regarding food that astronauts would miss when they went into Space. They recorded their work in bar charts.
