Despite learning from home, Year 5 pupils who are involved in the French Penpal Exchange were keen to maintain correspondence and communication with their new friends in France. Some of our children have even swapped addresses and are writing to each other on a more regular basis, and hopefully some long lasting friendships are developing.
The children in France have been learning about food in their English lessons, and so our joint project for this half-term has been to create food diaries. With a huge variety of dishes being served up, we were able to send our video project to France, which you are able to view with the links in this update. In return, the École Contour Saint Aubin have been busy doing the same, and we have really enjoyed watching their mouthwatering presentations, with some delicious regional specialities. We may even have some suggestions for Mr. Moss for a future BCS cook along!
We are looking forward to working on our next penpal project when we are all back in school together.
