Following St. Monica’s support for Acorns Children’s Hospice in January last year, Mani in Year 4 was very motivated to help the charity further when she became aware of its work in helping children. She asked her parents if they could run a project to do some further fundraising and involve customers of the family business.

With that in mind, Mani and her family started to run a weekly bingo for customers in aid of Acorns. The uptake was excellent and quickly filled several collection tins. At the same time Mani and her family used it as an opportunity to inform customers of the Acorns charity and the work they are doing to help children. Mani also organised a Christmas raffle for a hamper of food which again proved very popular. In total she raised an amazing £1,003.47.
