On Thursday 20th May, the Reception children participated in their outing day. Although the weather forecast for the day was not the best it did not dampen the children’s enthusiasm.

The Animal Man (Steve) kicked off the day by bringing in lots of interesting animals including ‘Romeo’ the Python and ‘Elvis’ the lizard. The children learnt a lot of fascinating facts about the different animals such as that the girl snakes grow to be bigger than the boy snakes. All of the children demonstrated how brave they were by either touching or stroking the animals. The children discussed their favourite animal. Milo in my class said he liked the scorpion. He thought it was very cute!

The children also had lots of fun bouncing on the Animal themed bouncy castle. The slide on the bouncy castle also provided lots of entertainment.

At lunch time the children had a special picnic lunch in their classrooms, which they really enjoyed.

In the afternoon, Mr Isherwood planned and delivered an outdoor animal hunt activity for the three Reception classes. Thank you, Mr Isherwood!

We hope you all enjoy viewing the photographs of the day.
