On Thursday 27th May Year 3 all took part performing poetry that they had learned in their English lessons. During the week we had looked at a variety of poems and how they could be performed. These ranged from historic poems such as ‘From A Railway Carriage (1885) by Robert Louis Stevenson’ to modern classics such as ‘Homework, Oh Homework by by Jack Prelutsky’. Everybody performed a favourite poem using fantastic expression, a selection of body language and even improvised props from around our classrooms. Well done to all the performers and their inspirational renditions of some wonderful poems.
