Every week we will be sharing those members of the Prep Department who have stood out and caught the attention of the teachers (in a good way!). They will have been nominated as either a Bubble Champion for being a positive influence in the Year Group Bubble before and after school; or they will have been chosen to sit at the Golden Table for exemplary demonstration of their BCS Values; or they will have been nominated for Star of the Week in recognition of doing something above and beyond across all walks of school life.

In addition, the Sports Department will be choosing weekly Rising Sports Stars, Mr Hegenbarth will be selecting Standout Artists of the Week and Mr Nicklin will be highlighting his Music Maestros!

These awards motivate the children to continue to do their very best in all aspects of the curriculum and daily life at BCS.These awards will also be converted into House points and put towards the Headmaster’s House Cup. The weekly winners will be announced in Friday’s House Assembly and there will be a cookie treat for the winning House!

The winning House this week is…

St. Margaret’s House!

Children also gain House Points for the Merits they receive for their academic work. A Deputy Head’s Certificate may also be awarded for excellent pieces of work, while entry to the Headmaster’s Book of Academic Excellence remains the pinnacle for a pupil in Prep at BCS.  Mr Neeson also keeps his ear to the ground in what the pupils are accomplishing outside of school and awards a Headmaster’s Certificate for something that impresses him greatly.
