The week ended with a beautiful Chapel service where our Year 6 Chapel Choir were robed with their surplices and became full-fledged choristers. Chaplain marked the occasion by talking about St Cecilia, the Patron Saint of Music, and by teaching the children about why singing plays such an important part in our worship of God. The choir sang their first anthem, fully robed, and it was a joy to see so many parents showing their support. After 18 months with no singing, today’s service felt particularly poignant!
